Your statutory right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to cancel for any reason, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. That is a legal minimum and applies regardless of anything else on this page.
Our own window is 30 days from delivery, which is longer. For comparison, the competitor set runs from 14 days to 90.
How to return something
- Email hello@shirt-archive.com with your order number and the catalogue reference, within 30 days of delivery.
- We reply with a returns address and a reference to write on the parcel. Do not post anything back before contacting us — unannounced returns are hard to match to an order.
- Send it back unworn with any tags still attached, packed flat.
- We refund to the original payment method within five working days of receiving it.

What cannot be returned
Personalised and printed shirts. Once a name or number is applied the shirt cannot be resold, so printed items are excluded from both our returns window and the statutory right to cancel. This exclusion is permitted under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for goods made to a consumer’s specification.
This does not affect your rights if the shirt is faulty, arrives damaged, or the printing is not what you ordered. In those cases you are covered as normal.
Unsure of your size? Order the shirt plain, check it against the measurements, and we will print it afterwards for the same price.
Faulty goods
Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on when the fault appears.
